Markus Müller is an experienced AGL expert with over 24 years of professional experience in airport infrastructure and more than 17 years in leading complex airfield projects across major European airports. He has successfully managed large scale airside infrastructure programs, including runway and taxiway lighting systems, LED airfield lighting upgrades, and the modernization of control and monitoring systems, with project volumes reaching nearly €10 million.

With certifications as a PMP® (Project Management Professional) and Six Sigma Green Belt, Markus combines structured project governance with strong technical expertise in airfield ground lighting, energy-efficient LED systems, and operational implementation under live airport conditions. His portfolio includes projects at international hubs such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Cologne-Bonn, and Zurich.

Through his practical experience in planning, execution, and modernization of airfield lighting systems, Markus brings valuable real-world insight into lifecycle optimization, operational reliability, and sustainability challenges. Within SALA, he aims to actively contribute by sharing best practices from large airport environments, supporting the advancement of solar and sustainable airfield lighting solutions, and fostering collaboration between airport operators, engineers, and technology providers to accelerate the adoption of resilient and energy-efficient lighting systems worldwide.Adam is a regular keynote speaker at major aviation events, including Inter Airport, Airspace World, and the International Flight Inspection Symposium (IFIS). He brings to SALA a unique perspective that sits between the lighting manufacturers and the airports, through an independent, field-verified measurement method that can help ensure solar AGL systems meet the performance standards the industry needs.
