With more than 30 years of leadership experience in airport electrical systems and airfield ground lighting (AGL), Hesham brings exceptional technical depth, regulatory engagement, and international project management expertise to the SALA community.

He spent nearly three decades within the Egyptian Airports Company (1990–2018), progressing through key operational and strategic roles including Electrical Supervisor Engineer, Technical Office Manager, International Cooperation Manager, and General Coordinator overseeing the management of five major international airports in Egypt in collaboration with ADP France.

Recognized at the global level, he has been:

  • Registered on the ICAO Experts Roster for AGL since 2002

  • Africa Representative on ACI’s Technical & Safety Standing Committee (2004–2008)

His career later expanded into international energy and infrastructure leadership with ABB, serving as:

  • West Africa Business Development Manager (2008–2012)

  • Managing Director of ABB Ghana (2012–2018)

In the private sector, he currently holds senior executive and ownership roles including:

  • Partner & Projects Manager at Techno Power Egypt (contracting & trading, since 2020)

  • Partner & Managing Director of AVIC Ghana (contracting & trading, since 2024)

He also served as Non-Executive Board Chairman of NEEASA, Egypt’s governmental lighting company, from 2021 to 2024.

Through his combined experience across airport operations, global standards bodies, multinational engineering firms, and infrastructure contracting, he contributes strategic insight into AGL system reliability, safety compliance, large-scale deployment, and emerging technologies — making him a highly valuable SALA member supporting the transition toward resilient and performance-driven solar airfield lighting worldwide.
